Welcome To Worship

What exactly is worship?

  • Worship is the act of offering praise and to glorify Almighty God.

  • When we come together for worship we bring honor to God.

  • This is a testimony of our faith in the Almighty God.

  • Worship is a vital part of our relationship with God, in worshipping God we humble ourselves unto Him and believe that He is God, that He is Holy, so that we could come into His presence with thanksgiving, to be drawn into a deeper under standing of the Lord Jesus, of our faith, and what the Lord has done for us through His mercy and grace.

    MATTHEW 21:13, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer;

When we come together as a church to worship, a portion of our worship service is spent in prayer, our prayers express our adoration and praise, with thanksgiving to God for his goodness and mercy to us.

1 CORINTHIANS 16:2, Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him,

MALACHI 3:10,Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house,

In most all churchs the preacher and staff are paid to some degree. People attending church find a building to worship in, seating, heating and air, a sound system, Song books, Bibles, Lights, phone, water, etc. All this has to be paid for.

As a member of a local church, we are encouraged to give according to our means. Without givers of tithes and offerings, the local church would have to close its doors.

We give to invest in the ministry of God, for all the parts of the church both local and its ministry World Wide. It is a privilege to give, so we can have a part in the church, its growth both now and for years to come. May EBBC go forth with the gospel, the good news that Jesus saves until he returns.

The Bible says in COLOSSIANS 3:16,Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

The COLOSSIANS 3:16 scripture reflects the heart of our music and worship ministry here at East Bristol Baptist Church.
Our Choir, Instrumentalists, soloists and groups are committed to connecting people to Jesus Christ through worship in song. We accomplish this with music and song, songs of praise, hymns of the faith, songs about the Cross, the Blood, Heaven and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
These songs of worship are purposed to set our hearts and minds on things above. and to move us closer to God preparing our hearts to receive his Holy Word.

Its a firsthand knowledge, with authentication of the fact.

The Bible says in, JOHN 4:29 Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ. The Woman at the well, had firsthand knowledge of who Jesus was.

JOHN 20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

ACTS 20:21 Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

ACTS 2:32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.

An Open acknowledgment, through a public profession of an experience one has had, such as a Salvation experience, an experience of Gods Healing power, or an answer to Prayer, Always Giving Thanks, Praise and Honor To our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ for his marvelous Grace and tender Mercy, toward us.

There is no greater testimony in the world than simply being able to stand and say, I know, that I know, that I know, that Jesus came into my heart and saved me!

1 CORINTHIANS 1:21, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

ROMANS 10:17, So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

HEBREWS 11:6, for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

At East Bristol Baptist Church, we believe that God's Word provides the only solid foundation on which to build our lives. We believe that God has a purpose for every life. That is why we make no apology for teaching and preaching the Holy Bible. The Authorized King James Verson is preached from our pulpit.

Here you will find Preaching that shares the Heart and mind of God from his word, messages that lift the hearts of those discouraged, strength for the weak, and a help to bring victory to those who are defeated. This is done Through Anointed preaching, God-centered and Heaven Sent that directs our attention and affections toward our Lord and Savior.

There is a time set aside at the end of the worship service called an Invitation
This is where people are invited to come forward to respond to the calling of Gods Holy Spirit.
People come to publicly receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, or move their church membership and serve the Lord At East Bristol, or to come forward for prayer to ask the lord for his help or to pray an thank him for his help and the blessings he has given.
We should respond to the calling or drawing of the Holy Spirit and move as he leads if you feel the need to go forward at any time in the service you should do so there is an open invitation to go forward and Always to obay God.
